Marathon Walk for Peter

Peter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on December 30, 1999. He is doing very well and his odds of a cure (95%) testify to remarkable progress in the treatment of ALL. In appreciation of the leukemia research to date - and as a way to contribute towards a complete cure for ALL - Peter's mom organized a group to walk a marathon as a way to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 	Cindy Larned, Thornton, PA All training successfully completed through 20 miles. Femur stress fractures, diagnosed three days before departure, prohibited me from doing the actual marathon. Arg! I so enjoyed both the fundraising and 5 months' training in anticipation of Dublin. The generosity of our family and friends was truly overwhelming. THANK YOU! More Email: CindyL1111@aol.com

Becky's Maine friends Karen Richards Toothaker, Sarah Richards, George and Gail Lee also did fundraising marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Peter's name.

That was in 2001. In 2003 Alecia decided to do fundraising marathon in Anchorage, Alaska.
